The mission of WAPA is poverty alleviation, capacity building, economic empowerment for rural and resettlement livelihoods, orphaned and vulnerable children, women and marginalised groups in Zimbabwe.

the objectives of wapa is...

  1. To provide support, facilitate, promote, maintain, develop, improve, farming education and training and a range of aspects which includes planning skills. Farm management skills, crop management skills, marketing skills, basic bookkeeping skills, financial management skills farm produce value added education, soil conservation, market gardening, horticulture, environmental awareness and animal husbandry.
  2. To support farmers with inputs and access to input financial schemes
  3. To acquire land and other physical property for the purpose to achieve the objectives of the Trust
  4. To establish databases and establish centers and institutions for education, training, business development, social development, personal development, health education, farming development, consultation and resource to meet the needs of the beneficiaries; such as investment initiatives, small scale farming, small scale irrigation schemes, horticulture, beef and dairy farming, poultry, agro processing, establishment of small and medium scale enterprises.
  5. To encourage, promote and support programs and mitigate measures against desertification, biodiversity loss, and poverty, loss of cultural and indigenous knowledge in natural resource conservation.
  6. To support and encourage community based initiatives in health management programs that relate to national and international communicable diseases, epidemics, environmental, poverty alleviation and sustainable development
  7. To deliver general health and hygiene awareness services to curb HIV/AIDS, malaria, Tuberculosis, cholera, etc.
